What you get

How much does a one way airport transfer in Toronto cost?

Quick summary: A one way airport transfer from the Toronto Metro Area costs a flat $85 by luxury sedan, $125 by luxury SUV, $550 by Sprinter van and $695 by stretch limo. Your pickup city sets the price, so Etobicoke, Mississauga and the airport hotel area each have their own rate.

Here are four sample rows from our rate table. Each price is for one ride in one direction.

Pickup areaLuxury sedanLuxury SUVSprinter vanStretch limo
Toronto Airport Hotel Area$75$95$450$550
Etobicoke$75$110$550$650
Mississauga$75$110$550$775
Toronto Metro Area$85$125$550$695

These rows are only samples. Our full flat rate table lists 112 Ontario towns, and each town has its own row. A price for one city never applies to another, so check your own city before you book.

This one surprises people. A Mississauga stretch limo costs $775, which is more than the $695 Toronto Metro one, even though Mississauga is closer to Pearson. Rates follow the zone table, not the distance. Read your own row before you compare quotes.

Why flat zones and not a meter? The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is Toronto plus the Peel, York, Durham and Halton regions, and about 6.7 million people live there. On roads that busy, one traffic jam can push a metered fare way up. A flat zone rate stays the same whether the Gardiner is moving or stopped.

How it works

Which vehicle fits your one way airport ride: sedan, SUV, Sprinter van or stretch limo?

Quick summary: A luxury sedan is the cheapest one way airport option and suits one traveller or a couple. A luxury SUV costs $40 more from the Toronto Metro Area and holds more bags. The Sprinter van and the stretch limo are for groups.

Luxury sedanOne or two travellers with standard bags$85
Luxury SUVFamilies, extra bags, winter coats and ski bags$125
Sprinter vanGroups, sports teams, corporate roadshows$550
Stretch limoGroups who want the ride to feel like an event$695

The extra cost of the SUV changes by zone. From the airport hotel area it is $20 ($75 to $95). From the Toronto Metro Area it is $40 ($85 to $125). If you are not sure you need the bag space, that gap can decide it for you.

People flying out of Pearson in winter bring more. Heavy coats and ski bags fill a sedan trunk fast. If you are unsure, tell us how many bags you have when you book, and we tell you which car fits.

The Sprinter van also runs our group transportation service, so one booking can move a whole team to the same flight. Need a child seat? Ask for a child seat equipped transfer when you book.

Where do I meet my pre-arranged limo driver at Pearson Airport Terminal 1 or Terminal 3?

Quick summary: At Pearson, pre-arranged limo drivers pick up at set pickup posts at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, as the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) requires. If you book meet and greet, your chauffeur meets you inside the terminal instead, so you do not have to find the post yourself.

A pre-arranged car cannot stop at the curb at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) the way a family car can. The GTAA rules send it to set posts. That is why we confirm your pickup point before you land.

Meet and greet is the easier choice for first-time visitors, older travellers and parents with tired kids. Your chauffeur finds you, helps with your bags and walks you to the car.

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is much simpler. It is small, and pickups there are quick. We cover it as its own one way option further down this page.

Vehicles

How long does the one way ride to Pearson take from downtown Toronto?

Quick summary: The one way ride from downtown Toronto to Pearson runs along the Gardiner Expressway and Highway 427, and rush hour traffic on those roads and Highway 401 changes your trip time more than anything else. We do not quote one fixed time for that reason. Book an earlier pickup for weekday rush hours, March Break and winter storm days.

From downtown, the usual route is the Gardiner Expressway west, then Highway 427 north. Riders in North York and near Yorkdale often take Highway 401 instead. From Scarborough and The Beaches, the trip often uses the Don Valley Parkway.

Our base is at 19 Grand Trunk Crescent, a short walk from Union Station. Condo and hotel pickups near the CN Tower and Rogers Centre are a short drive from that base. Yorkville pickups are a little further north.

Snow, ice and freezing rain slow every one of those highways. They delay flights too. Demand jumps in March Break, the summer months and the winter holidays, so book early in those weeks.

Timing

What if my flight into Pearson is delayed?

Quick summary: If your flight into Pearson is delayed, your pickup is still planned around your real flight, because Airport Limo Toronto asks for your flight number first when you book a one way airport pickup. Winter weather in Toronto delays flights often, and the flight number is how we keep up.

The ride home from the airport is the leg most likely to go wrong. The landing time moves, but the driver's post at Pearson does not. The flight number links the two.

Our promise is Always On Time. If your trip falls in the holiday season or a week of freezing rain, ask about wait time for long delays when you book.

Booking

How to book a one way airport ride in Toronto

Quick summary: You book a one way airport ride with Airport Limo Toronto in four steps: give your pickup details and flight number, choose a vehicle, get your flat rate and confirm. The line is open 24 hours, and you can pay by credit card, debit or mobile tap.

  1. Give your pickup address and your flight number.
  2. Pick your vehicle: luxury sedan, luxury SUV, Sprinter van or stretch limo.
  3. Get your flat rate.
  4. Confirm the booking.

You get the flat rate before you confirm. That means you know the full price before you commit, and a metered cab cannot tell you that. If you want a plain cab, our taxi service runs flat rate airport rides too.

Guests at downtown hotels near Union Station can book by phone from the lobby at any hour.

Send us your pickup address and flight number, and we reply with your flat one way rate. Call +1 647-361-8237.

Good to know

Who should not book a one way airport transfer?

Quick summary: A one way airport transfer is not the best buy for someone travelling alone with one carry-on and staying next to Union Station, because the UP Express train runs from Union to Pearson. If you also need a ride back, a return airport transfer covers both legs in one booking.

For light travellers who are already downtown, the UP Express (Union Pearson Express) is the honest pick. We would tell you the same on the phone.

A private one way ride makes the most sense for families with car seats, groups with lots of bags and anyone landing late at night. The train still leaves you with a walk or a second trip at the end. A private ride also suits people going to Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville, Markham or Vaughan, where transit takes longer.

One way or return? Pick one way when someone else drives you back, when you fly home into a different airport or when your return date is not set yet. Pick return when you know both dates. Corporate travellers often use both through our chauffeur service.

Our opinion: for two people with standard bags, the sedan is better value than the SUV. Keep the extra $40 unless you carry ski gear or a stroller.

What you get

One way transfers to Billy Bishop, Hamilton and Buffalo airports

Quick summary: Airport Limo Toronto runs one way transfers to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Hamilton airport and Buffalo airport, not only Pearson. Billy Bishop is on the downtown waterfront, close to our Grand Trunk Crescent base. Hamilton and Buffalo are longer highway trips, and each one has a flat rate.

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is the quick one. From most downtown addresses, our driver does not have far to go to reach you.

Hamilton airport and Buffalo airport are longer trips, and each has its own flat rate. Ask for your exact price when you call.

Some Toronto travellers fly out of Buffalo for cheaper US fares, then fly home into Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). In that case, book a separate one way ride for each direction. For shared rides between airports and hotels, see our airport shuttle service.
